Rachael received her undergraduate degree in biology at Boise State University in 2002. She also received an MS degree in exercise and sports science at Boise State University in 2005, after which Rachael trained as a physician assistant and received an MS degree at Shenandoah University in 2007. Following her PA training, Rachael completed a year of residency as an orthopedic physician assistant at Lutheran General Hospital with the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (IBJI) in Chicago. After her residency, she was hired at IBJI, until a physician assistant position opened up back home in Colorado. Rachael has worked in orthopedics for nine years, eight of which with OrthoAspen.
Rachael strongly believes in the importance of listening to her patients and working closely with them to develop goals that get them back to their activities. She believes in working together with OrthoAspen’s physicians to develop the proper treatment plan for a better overall outcome for the patient.
Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, Rachael appreciates spending time with family and friends, hiking, running, skiing, water skiing and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
